Singer Songwriter Courses

Advanced Performance Courses

Songwriting is not as easy as a lot of people think. Many top musicians will tell you that. We’re not talking second division either, the likes of Dylan, Bowie and Cohen have all stated as much. That’s a fact. Most people who learn an instrument like a guitar invariably arrive at the point where they start to create their own sound and style as well as chord progressions that lead to ideas for their own work. If this describes where you are on your musical journey, then I have the right course for you. So, are you someone who finds creating a tune a relatively simple affair but then struggles with the words and then how to put that down? Maybe you wonder what chords to use and how to progress though those chords? Do you want to know how annotate it so that others can play it?
“I don’t think you can ever do your best. Doing your best is a process of trying to do your best.” Townes Van Zandt
Perhaps you have words and ideas but don’t know where to start with arranging what you have created? Or, are you looking to create new music or, perhaps adapt other people’s music into a different style – like for example, a Beatles tune performed in the style of John Martyn? Well, you are in the right place.
