Electric Guitar Lessons For The Total Beginner
Electric guitar lessons for the total beginner will make sure that you get the basics of playing an electric guitar right from the start.
Getting the basics right is the most important thing you can do whether you are playing electric or acoustic. As a beginner on the electric guitar, you will quickly appreciate the ease of getting your favourite sound from today’s modern pedals and sound shaping electronics. You will also realise that although getting an exciting sound is just the start.
What you need is the ability to coordinate both hands at the same time and not just with regard to keeping time but progressing in your chosen style whether that be lead or rhythm or both. Getting it right from the start is essential to reaching the goals you have set yourself. My teaching methods do exactly that.
Coordination, rhythm and clarity are essential to positive and good progress. Tuition books have their place when learning any style of guitar but no tutor book is 100% perfect and guidance from a guitar teacher is highly recommended. I find most people require guidance and structured content to progress at an even pace.
Buying Your First Electric Guitar
Years of experience tell me that if you haven’t yet decided on your chosen instrument then help is selecting your first guitar comes in very useful. Electric guitars range widely in terms of build quality and selection of the various electronics and pickups that colour the overall sound. In the long run guidance can save you money and provide you with an instrument that is a joy to play rather than a pain.
Teach Guitar Preston provides advice on buying your first guitar if you don’t already own one. Additionally, there is a range of instruments you can try out before you even buy your first electric guitar. These range in quality and setup so that you can gauge what you need, experience the difference and decided on a buying strategy. At my taster lesson, any student is free to use one of my guitars.
Generally, you should always buy your guitar from a reputable shop. You need to actually hold a guitar and feel comfortable with it. Having assistance from someone with years of experience makes that purchase more reliable and successful.
I am more than happy to help anyone purchase their first guitar just feel free to ask. If you’re interested in electric guitar lessons for the absolute beginner then please contact me now.
